SERBIAN BAR

Our Serbian Bar set featured two connected spaces — the main bar area and a back room.

For the back room, our production designer envisioned a large mural to help define the atmosphere. I designed a piece incorporating Serbian and Balkan iconography and geography, creating a visual anchor that reflected the character of the space.

The mural was designed to appear as though it had been painted directly onto the wall. It was printed in three panels on .040 styrene, and once installed, our team carefully cut openings to accommodate the existing wall sconces.

To enhance the environment further, I created several posters that complemented the tone and authenticity of the setting.

In the main bar area, the designer wanted to replicate the look of traditional stained glass windows to partially cover the bar’s large mirror. I recreated these designs digitally, printed them on clear cling, and trimmed them precisely to match the mirror’s contours.

To complete the set, I added subtle textural details — such as a Serbian banknote and postcard — bringing a final layer of realism and character to the space.
