GARE DU NORD TRAIN STATION

Though this was a prototype project, it was an absolute delight to work on!

Being a graphic designer for film and television allows me to explore the past, diving into another era and culture while experimenting with typefaces, calligraphy, textures, and imagery. Research is essential for period projects, ensuring every detail feels authentic and true to the time.

This set is set in 1896 Paris, at the central station Gare du Nord. For this particular train station environment, I created a poster, a timetable, a postcard, and a train ticket. Each piece involved multiple layers — from the overall design and choice of typefaces, to decorative elements, stamps, and handwritten details, image treatments, and a final layer of aging for authenticity.

I’m always excited to work on period projects — they are, hands down, my favorite to be part of!
